CNOOC makes new discovery in Bohai Bay

HONG KONG -- CNOOC has made a new discovery at Bozhong (BZ) 35-2 in the Yellow River Mouth Sag. The well was drilled to a total depth of 3,235 m (10,614 ft) in 20 m (66 ft) of water and penetrated oil pay zones with total thickness of 31.2 m (102 ft).

During the drill stem test, the well flow tested at an average rate of 560 b/d of oil and approximately 32,000 cf/d of gas via 7.94-mm (0.313-in.) and 9.53 mm (0.375-in.) chokes.
