Golar, Bluewater partner for South African FSRU bid

LONDON -- Golar LNG has formed a joint venture with Bluewater Energy Services to bid for an LNG FSRU opportunity with South Africa's national oil company, PetroSA.

In conjunction with the bid, the companies have agreed to acquire the 1977 built Moss-type 126,000-cu m (4.4 million-cu ft) LNG carrier, Hoegh Gandria. The vessel will be used as the converted FSRU.
