Rolls Wood Group begins Houston office construction

HOUSTON -- Rolls Wood Group has begun construction of its new Houston facility. The new workshop, scheduled to open in September 2008, will provide 42,000 sq ft (3,902 sq m) of space dedicated to the repair and overhaul of Rolls-Royce 501K engines. Around 1,500 engines are in operation worldwide, in a number of gas transmission, electrical generation, and marine applications.

Employees of the Rolls Wood Group Sugar Land location will be relocated to the new facility. It will be located next to Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines' North Sam Houston Parkway location.
