Bjørge signs LOI for FMC monitoring system

TANAGER, Norway -- FMC Technologies has signed a letter of intent for Bjørge to supply leak monitoring systems for Ormen Lange and Vega fields for NOK 20 million ($3.9 million).

Work has begun on the Naxys condition and leak monitoring systems and completion is expected this year. The equipment is designed to insure optimum, safe operations and also to provide an early alarm in the event of a spills to the sea.

Bjørge has supplied similar equipment to the Troll Pilor, Ormen Lange Phase 1, Tordis subsea processing, and Vigdis production template.
