HOUSTON –Petrobras America Inc. has confirmed oil in the Stones No. 3 operated by Shell in the ultra deepwater Walker Ridge 508 block.
Stones No. 3 is in 2,286 m (7,500 ft) of water and reached TD of 8.960 m (29,396 ft) finding oil in multiple Lower Tertiary reserves. More drilling is planned.
Partners in the block are Shell with 35%, Petrobras America with 25%, Marathon with 25%, and ENI with 15%.
