Oceaneering lands Pazflor, Frontier equipment contracts

HOUSTON – FMC Kongsberg Subsea ASA has contracted Oceaneering International Inc. to supply $15 million in umbilicals for Total's Pazflor project offshore Angola.

Oceaneering plans to manufacture the three umbilicals, totaling 11,800 m (7.3 mi) in length, for delivery in 2010. The contract also covers supply of more than 200 buoyancy modules.

The umbilicals are to supply electricity to FMC's subsea gas/liquid separation system, lubrication to the pumps and hydraulic pressure to valve actuators.

On another front, Frontier Drilling USA has contracted Oceaneering to supply $14 million in subsea blowout preventer control systems for the Bully 2 drilling rig.
