New welding electrodes launched for corrosion resistance

MOUNT CARMEL, Pennsylvania -- Arcos Industries LLC has introduced Arcos 803 for welding applications where seawater corrosion resistance is required.

Arcos 803 (ECuNi) is a covered electrode designed for the shielded metal arc welding of wrought or cast 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys to themselves or to each other. It is also used to weld the clad side of copper-nickel clad steel.

Arcos 803 is well suited for desalination plant, offshore construction, and marine environment welding applications, according to Arcos.
