Fusion, JOA form reservoir engineering venture

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Formation of Fusion Reservoir Engineering Services Inc. was announced today at the AAPG Annual Convention by Fusion Geophysical LLC and JOA Oil & Gas B.V.

The new company offers integrated geological modeling, reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, and field management services.

"Fusion has been working toward the vision of an integrated services and technology offering across the geoscience and engineering disciplines that will integrate the strengths of all of our proprietary software, said Dr. Alan R. Huffman, president and CEO of Fusion. "The formation of Fusion Reservoir Engineering Services Inc. will expand Fusion's offerings. The integration of Fusion and JOA software and technology will provide a totally new concept for integrated services that will change the way oil and gas are discovered and produced."

"Fusion Reservoir Engineering will provide a global platform for inplementation of JOA's reservoir solutions and will creagte a worldwide user base that will help broaden the market for our software and technology."

At the same time, Fusion Petroleum Technologies Inc. also announced release of its new reflection statics software, StatCORR.

StatCORR aims to provide improved statics for the processing of seismic data. It will be offered as an add-on module to Fusion's Seismic Studio package and as an integrated part of the LAGNIAPPE processing platform
