FARNBOROUGH, UK -- Heerema has selected Infor's EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) Enterprise Edition to manage its inventory of spare parts on ship and shore.

EAM Enterprise Edition will support Heerema's logistic and equipment management processes. According to Infor, it also will optimize Heerema's inventory to ensure parts are on location in time.

The initial implementation of EAM is under way on the crane vessel Hermod, offices and yards. Full rollout throughout the entire fleet will be complete in early 2009.

"Offshore construction presents unique challenges, from equipment management to linking inventories on land and at sea," says Vincent Harmsen, VP Northern for Infor. "Infor EAM Enterprise Edition's business-specific functionality for the maritime industry will enable Heerema Marine Contractors to seamlessly manage the status of their equipment from vessel to vessel, as well as manage their inventories."
