BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- Stupp Bros. has begun construction and integration of a spiral weld facility within its Stupp Pipe complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

This estimated $60-million expansion, scheduled for completion by early 2009, will give Stupp the ability to produce and provide coated products up to 60 in. (152 cm) outside diameter, up to 1 in. (2.5 cm) in thickness, and in grades up to X80.

"Stupp Corp. is a market driven, customer-oriented supplier to the energy industry," says John Stupp, president of Stupp Bros. "Our new mill will allow us to provide the market with the widest range of large diameter line pipe."
