HOUSTON –The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has signed a contract with Landmark for software and operations services for NPD's DISKOS database.

The agreement originally was reached in mid-2006. The five-year contract will begin in 2009.

Landmark will provide DISKOS with PetroBank Master Data Store and will extend the database's ability to support data types to include field, pre-stack, multi-component seismic, 4D seismic, and production data.

Landmark says its PetroBank Master Data Store will run on Linux for flexibility and that a new interface called PetroBank Explorer for DISKOS will allow easier search, browse, preview, and data requests.
