Spanish Point seismic survey under way

DUBLIN, Ireland -- Providence Resources Plc. has licensed part of GX Technologies long-offset North East Atlantic SPAN Survey over the Spanish Point discovery in Porcupine basin offshore western Ireland.

Providence says the data will be used to locate a 2008 appraisal well in Spanish Point plus adding to data over Burren.

The Discoverer is acquiring the data and interpretation is expected to be available in 4Q 2007.

The Spanish Point gas condensate discovery is in FEL 2/04 in the Main Porcupine basin some 200 km (124 mi) off the west coast of Ireland. Providence holds 72% in Spanish Point, Sosina has 18%, and CMI holds 10%.
