Petrobras awards Aker Kvaener subsea boosting contract

HOUSTON -- Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company, has awarded Aker Kvaerner a contract to supply eight subsea boosting systems. The contract is worth approximately US $25 million.

The scope of work comprises eight subsea boosting systems, including power distribution, vertical connection modules, tools, accessories and spares. All systems will be deployed in the Jubarte Phase II field, as part of its artificial lift system.

Work will be completed from Aker Kvaerner's subsea facility in Curitiba within 14 months.

Aker Kvaerner has delivered more than 130 subsea trees to Petrobras since the start of operations in Brazil.
