Santos to supply offshore gas to LNG plant

Gas from the offshore John Brookes field will be used to supply an LNG plant onshore Western Australia. Santos Ltd. has signed a contract to supply the gas to Westfarmers Ltd.'s $138-million LNG plant.

ADELAIDE, Australia -- Gas from the offshore John Brookes field will be used to supply an LNG plant onshore Western Australia. Santos Ltd. has signed a contract to supply the gas to Westfarmers Ltd.'s $138-million LNG plant.

Santos will supply 37 petajoules of gas to the plant for its first 10 years. Delivery is scheduled to start in 2008.
