Iran's offshore crude output will reach as high as 850,000 b/d from 750,000 b/d once the projects now under implementation come onstream.

Managing Director of Iran's Continental Shelf Oil Co. Abolqassem Hassani says the output boost would be made possible following extraction of oil from Sorush, Norouz, Dorud, Salman, Behregansar, and Hendijan fields.

Hassani said Sorush and Norouz oil fields alone will produce 190,000 b/d of oil and plans are underway to raise the offshore output to 900,000 b/d in two years and 1,100,000 b/d by the end of the Fourth Five-Year Economic Development Plan.
